I just bought my first GPS Garmin Nuvi 255w. I tried it for the first time today. It is suppose to name the street names in the directions, AND IT DOES NOT ! It just says turn left/right at so many feet, etc. Is it a faulty unit or am I doing something wrong? I couldn't even find Walmart on it and I was just across the road from it. ( I was just playing with it ) ;-) Other Walmarts show up---50-60 miles away. Why wouldn't MY Walmart show up on the thing. It did take me to my destination, but it didn't name the streets/roads. It won't even say my home street name. Can anyone please offer any helpful suggestions as how to set it to say the street names. I'll give you 10 points if you help me get it set correctly.

Also, is there a way to set it to not give me the shortest distance routes so I can take the main highways and not the off roads?

It doesn't heat up the first time it comes on, but does heat up the next time. The thermostat is fine, Can anyone please tell me what is wrong with it? Thanks in advance... Have a good day.... John 3:16

I didn't want to buy a new printer, so I bought a paralell adapter with USB...The Vista found and installed the printer and new adapter cable. It printed a few pages, faded and blury, I assumed it was the ink kind of dried up. So I kept printing. Now, it tells me I have the wrong ink cartridge in my printer, which I do not. Can anyone please HELP me figure this out. Do I need to change some settings to the printer or something else? This is the first printer to be installed on my Vista laptop. Thanks in advance.

My desktop pc (Windows XP) is very low on RAM. I have RAM ordered, but I don't know how to put it in. A tech says he'll do it for $25.00. Any info will be helpful. It's running almost non stop. Will it harm the frige if it runs all the time? Should I unplug it? Can it cause a fire? I didn't sleep any last night, afraid it would catch on fire. The bottom section of the frige seems colder, the top, very warm. All my food is in ice chests. No fun! The repair man can't get here til Wednesday!!! My sis and I have the same Motorola W370 Tracfone. Today we couldn't get a call thru. We kept getting a message that said, call failed, try again. Did anyone out there have this problem? This isn't good at all, when you depend on your phone and can't get calls to go thru. I think AT&T is the carrier. THANKS !!!

Why won't the "save changes" button work when I add a code? I can do the copy & paste, and it shows in the preview, but when I hit the "save my changes" button. It won't save or work. My headboard is Rattan and finished in a white gloss. I want to paint it to match my Cherry bedroom furniture. I can't stain it over the gloss and it would be too difficult to sand. I need a spray paint in a Cherry color, but I can't find paint in wood colors. Can anyone help me in finding the Cherry spray paint? Please offer brand names so I can do a search online. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yahoo is telling me I have "Research" add on , on my computer and that is why I can't read my emails and why I am getting an " error on page" message. Have any of you ever ran into this problem. They tell me to go to "Tools"" and disable it. Will I have more problems with other web pages if I disable the add on? ...Thanks!...Dixiebell
