Can a prayer make everything better?
If God exists or not..what is the power and effect of a prayer?
It would be nice if you could send out a prayer with me, for a loved one who is in trouble.

I'm going to look at this two ways. No a prayer cannot help anything because the concept of God is fallible by any logical standpoint. Now lets say there is a God, there would be so many people making so many prayers at the same time that it would be impossible to answer them all. Expecically if all these prayers are based on things that go against the physics of nature and health that this so called God created. According to the bible this God you speak of is a vengeful God. He would then make you live the adversity of suffering so that you may endure life. As if he is testing you. As a philosophical lesson in the book of Job "life is not fair". So no praying will not help, praying is begging and the theory is God does not want you to beg but to be able to see past that and except the way that he supposably made things. But things may work out for your loved one, you never know how they will work out. But it will not be at the hand of God.

I think prayer gives a false sense of temporary comfort. Perhaps this due to my lack of belief in God, but from a logical standpoint if God is omnipotent and all-knowing, why pray? If God can see the fallacies and struggles of others, because he is supposedly an all-loving deity He would, Himself, without someone taking action to ask him, fix these things up to choice, not by pleading. If God exists and hears all the prayers out there, how is it he hears them all? Answers them all? Because he is that powerful? If he is so powerful, why does he not contribute to the betterment of society more? Free-will? Free-will is a misconception and false concept.
I sincerely do hope your loved one feels better, but I believe it will not be by the will of God.

Prayers are requests, some are granted while some are not.
When a man prays, he usually asks for things which he deems good in accordance with his own taste and limited wisdom. God, being an omnipotent entity is aware of all of our needs and wishes even before we existed.
Prayers should not be merely seen as a medium to convey our demands and petitions, but rather as a good opportunity to express our faith and confidence in God's judgment on things that are truly best for us.
Take care and God bless.

I am a living witness that prayer can make everything better; not necessarily OUR better, but better in the eyes of a higher power; GOD!
There are several instances in which I KNOW, the power of prayer got me through!
"Dear GOD",
We are asking that you help the loved one who is in trouble. We know that you do not put anything on our shoulders that we cannot handle, even when we think we cannot handle it. Keep us close to you, as we need you. Lay your gentle hands upon us and remind us that you are LORD and we care your children. You always have and always will protect us and we TRUST that you know best.
May the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts, be acceptable in your sight, oh LORD; OUR STRENGHT and OUR REDEEMER!
Amen!

Hope is Living in the Future
Wishes Don't Wash Dishes

Make a "Bid for Power"
and wait
Knowing what you are waiting for...
Your Power to come...
When Power comes
IF you can handle it correctly
then you can store that Power
which will become Wisdom...

Prayers can help make you feel better!
Do not mistake them for magic wands...though they do have immense power to give you strength to face life with renewed vigour. If said earnestly, they always bring in tears and make you feel lighter. They are synonymous with Hope!
Bless you and your loved one! May you soon find a way out of all your trouble!!!
