Suggest a Name for my Baking Business?

This isn't a bakery... It's more specialized.

At this point I'm making holiday items: Gingerbread Houses (ready to display and completely edible) in three sizes and Liqueur Cakes in Spiced Rum, Amaretto, and Ginger Brandy.

Later I plan to add various cupcakes, a few kinds of cookies and bars, maybe a few other items.

I had considered "Gingie's House" (gingie being the nickname in my family ginger..don't ask.) "Holiday Haven" was another name since I am specializing in holiday (including birthdays, etc) treats.

I will choose best answer ONLY if I choose your name for my business... otherwise the community can vote... so make 'em good!

How about "Ginger Snaps"? You know...as in snappy? I think it is cute, but good luck finding something you like!

Since this is going to be a year around business...I would go for something more Catchy and Memorable and not limited. And you say "maybe a few other items"...could that be fudge?

    How about:

    "Specialized Confections"

    "Make a Memory"

    "My Cakes 'n' Confections"

    "Memorable Cakes and Confections"

    "House of Confections"

    "Catchy Cakes n Sweet Treats"

    "Catchy Confections"

    "Catchy Cakes"

    "Your Party My Cakes"

    "Ginger's Spicey Cakes"

    "Ginger's House of Cakes"

I could go on as the mixing up of the names or descriptions is almost endless.

I must admit I am not fond of Gingie's....but that might be the best name for your business.

The 2 names you listed do not describe what it is you do. I would think you should add a description of some kind.

    "Gingie's House"......could be of anything....!!!

Holiday Haven could could be a Bed n Bath, or a Holiday Decoration Company.

I agree with having a name that doen't limitrt your appeal to Holidyas.

    How about: Ginger's Sweets

    Ginger's Cakery?

    or Gingie's Cakery?

Small Muffins sell really well in Oregon.

At events people plop down a dollar each for those with fancy or heavy chocolate frosting.

    Good luck!

First of all, that's really cool that you're pagan and damn proud of it. I'm catholic myself, but I can completely see the logic and conclusions behind your religion.

Second, Sam H, you are my hero. Yummy Tenderchunks. Amazing. I would have put something similar had you not beat me to it.

I was thinking you could make it something very heavenly, like Gingie's Dreams, or something like that. Or you could go with the full name Ginger, and say Ginger Delights, although that would specify that you only do gingerbread, and that might throw people off.

Or, you could add in your religion, and say, like, Skyclad Confections.

That has a pretty nice ring to it. I like that. It adds in a bit of earthiness. Incidentally, are you Wiccan or just regular Pagan? I know there's lots of variations of Pagan religions, and your coven might not incorporate being Skyclad in your rituals. My personal favorite would be Skyclad Confections, because it has a nice earthy ring to it for those who don't know what Skyclad is, and also, for those who do, it would just mean Naked Confections, which is good in and of itself.

GingerCakes, Liqueur buns, Gingie's Amaretto .... just a few ideas from the top of my head... Just think of something personal but very catchy.... like the Liqueur Buns people would be talkin and then going to your specialty bakery.... I go alot of businesses by word of mouth even the ones with the "bold" names hehe
