Chiefs release troubled running back Larry Johnson.?

It's a sad day in this country when we start treating a lifestyle choice equivalent to an ethnic group.

Update:

He was suspended because of it. That's wrong in and of itself.

Being gay or not isn't a choice. That would imply that people who are not gay also choose that option, which they don't. They're born that way. Besides, your bigotry has nothing to do with football.

Johnson isn't being treated like he is because of his opinions on the subject. It's because he has bad mouthed the team, ownership, other players, and the coaching staff in a public forum (twitter). And, he has had problems with the team in the past. This is just the last straw and the team is no longer willing to put up with his shenanigans.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up on the Raiders. They always take the chance on players with attitude or behavioral problems. Johnson would fit right in with the likes of Tom Cable.

i think its a bad decision simply because he was 30 something yards from breaking the all time rushing record in KC but then again he has made alot of bad decisions in the past and has been getting into trouble alot.

He will end up in Cleveland lol

he was released because he has a HISTORY of causing problems

both his team AND the NFL have suspended him in the past, for "conduct detrimental to the club."

the team told him, BEFORE the season started, that this was his last chance

he chose to attack the team and the coach again,

    he blew it, he's gone

(and, the fans didn't want him to own the team running record)

He wasn't fired because he was anti-gay. That's the last thing an NFL team cares about. He was fired because he didn't have anything left to offer
