1. Depends in which position. I'd consider Lampard to be more reliable than Gerrard (gives the ball away less, better positioning meaning that he doesn't have to dive in for every other tackle) and of course can be relied upon to work the goalkeeper when given the opportunity, whereas Gerrard is a better attacking midfielder, more of a threat rampaging forward and making space for others in the process whilst being clearly more of a talismanic figure. There's really nothing in that one.

2. You've pitted a tenacious, tough-tackling midfielder a la Roy Keane against a technically gifted deep lying playmaker. This one is more of a clear cut case of apples and oranges compared to the first one. This one would depend entirely upon the system. In a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 with three strikers I would go with De Rossi as defensively he's far superior, allowing a more attacking midfielder free reign further up the pitch. Pirlo excels in a system where he's afforded protection by the other central midfielder(s).

3. This is a tough one. Benzema has obvious class and potential which he demonstrated particularly well in the CL for Lyon, but has yet to blossom at Madrid (with 4 in 11 not really good enough when surrounded by that kind of quality). I think he's been slightly overhyped in the wake of his performances against Manchester United in the CL and in the French league, a league most notable for its absence of top French talent and general top level talent. Henry is getting on a bit at 32 and is becoming increasingly peripheral at Barca. Both like to drift out wide and act almost as an inside forward so they are positionally very similar. If this was a comparison between Benzema now and Henry at his peak it would be Henry no question, but on recent form it's Benzema. Benzema may yet become as good as Henry was in his pomp but he isn't there yet.

3. Henry vs Benzema: For what they've done, Henry is way better, but at the present, i think Benzema is doing a good job

I think that Liverpool's Steven Gerrard is better than Chelsea's Frank Lampard. Roma's Daniele De Rossi is better than AC Milan's Andrea Pirlo. Barcelona's Thierry Henry is better than Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.

Gerrard is the better player, he has been for a long time - however Lampard is a fantastic player himself and there is little difference between the two.

For me Pirlo has to be better for his consistency at his age and his overall technical ability.

And Thierry Henry is the best footballer Arsenal football club has ever had, and Benzema will be lucky if he gets even close to the kind of devastating ability Henry once possesed.

GERRARD much better than Lampard he has single handedly dragged Liverpool though more games than any other player to date.

DE ROSSI is better in so many different way's although I'd like both in my team.

HENRY has done so much more than BENZEMA and at his best he was the best at what he did in the world.

for me Gerrard is way better that Lapmard. i cant actually choose between De Rossi and Pirlo, Pirlo has great shot you know but De Rossi's skills are great as well.... between Henry and Benzema i would pick Benzema for my team cause he's younger and i believe he's more talented
