In Spanish, when you have a conjugated verb and a verb in the infinitive ...?
how do you know when to put "a" in between them?
For example, is it correct to say (for "I decided to rest):
Me decidi a descansar.
or
Me decidi descansar.
(Don't mind the spelling, I don't know how to do the accent marks on my keyboard yet).

Decidí descansar (without the ME) doesn´t need the "a"
Me decidí a descansar (In this case is correct to use the "a")

A means "to" and as you learn Spanish and hear it (that's the imperative part) you will just know. And its a rule for certain situations that you too will learn when to use it. Its much easier than learning English and the millions of rules!
