is Geico a good car insurance company?

Geico is average. They are neither better or worst than most other companies. You will find some other companies cheaper and some others more expensive.

If you are shopping for automobile insurance look in your Yellow Pages for an Independent agent. They do NOT work for any specific company so they can take your particular circumstances and shop around to many sources to find the best coverage at the lowest cost.

From what I've heard Geico is no good but when it comes to insurance you want to call as many companies as you can for a quote then go with the cheapest / best coverage.

I have Progressive coverage for 60% of what Geico was offering. But it varies. Shop around.

Quality products sell themselves - so if Geico was any good, would they have to ram a 1000 commercials a day down your throat?
