My water is leaking? What to do?

Well I am 38 weeks and 4 days and this morning my water was leaking well still is. Does that mean they will induce me or wait for my water to break all the way. If your water was leaking how long did it take it to break or for them to induce you if it doesn't work.

Update:

The reason I didn't call the doctor was because I'm not having contractions. Though I am thinking I might have back labor because I feel as if I strained a muscle :(

Not everyone's water breaks in a big gush. Some women just experience the leaking. This is a definite sign of labor. You should call your doctor and tell her what's happening. Most likely she'll tell you to go to Labor & Delivery.

    Lots of luck, mommy-to-be!

If your water breaks, its broken. It doesn't matter if its a small leak or a gush. You need to call your doctor and let them know. Since there is a greater chance for infection once your water breaks, usually they want the baby born within 24 hours one way or another.

So call your doctor and if you aren't having any contractions they will at least have you come in for an exam to make sure its your water. Then you can discuss if you want to go home and wait for contractions or if you want to try some pitocin.

You do not say if the heater is electrical or fuel. If it's fuel substitute it. If you have got a electrical heater verify 2 matters first. Check to look if one of the crucial factors are dangerous. When a detail burns out water will begin to leak across the dangerous detail. Also verify to look if the drain valve will drain, if no longer substitute the heater. If you purchase a brand new heater dispose of the drain valve that includes the brand new heater and set up a ball valve with a water hose connector. You could have a three/four in. gap to aid flush out the sediment so we can construct up within the backside. If you drain five gallons of water each and every 2 months your new heater will final a lifestyles time. Good success.

  • You need to call your doctor and get to the hospital..it sounds like your in labor hun! • Most likely you are at the starting stages of labor. My mom's water only leaked while she was pregnant with my brother and her contractions started before her water ever "broke". I would call your doctor!

I would call your doctor and let him know what happened just in case he wants to see you. Are you having contractions yet? But this is definitely the start of labor. Congrats.

Wait for contractions to start. Drink lots of fluids and nothing in the vagina. Give yourself about 8 hours before rushing to the hospital. Go for a walk and massage your belly with castor oil and you should get some action going on.

Call the hospital or your doctor and find out for sure what you need to do.
