How do I get my DVD player to work without TV remote?

goto menu and see if you can see something that says something like input, or video, when you find this, switch it to the input that your dvd player is plugged into.

Things do work without remotes. LOL Go to menu, and all shall be answered. Like the other person said look for input, etc. make sure the channels are set right on the TV. Are you using a cable box with it or not? There is a big difference on how to set it up whether you have a box or not. If iot works on the other TV, it is obvious that your settigs are wrong. You can look up and owner's manual on line.

Yea those first two idiots obviously didn't understand the question, with a lot of new dvd/blue ray players if you loose the remote your **** out of luck, you can't control them without it, no buttons on the unit except for the power and eject button. This obviously benefits the manufacturer by cutting costs by not putting buttons on the unit and forcing you to buy another remote, lesson learned don't buy a device without at least a minimum of a play button on the unit itself

im guessing these people dont understand what you were asking. without the remote it's hard to get many dvd's to play.
