Looking for tear-jerking ANIME in the love category..?

Question

I've watched a few series such as:

Clannad
Clannad After Story
School Rumble (not quite sad enough, a little too frustrating, very funny though :D)
Ouran High School Host Club (again, not sad enough, very funny though :D)


Clannad has become one of my favourite shows of all time. I really like the visuals (the directors, photography directors and artists are gods). The occasional humour (mostly Sunohara) is really great; it doesn't overshadow the main plot. I love the element of tragedy and sad pasts. It's what I like best about it. Clannad makes me choke up and/or full-out cry ^_^.

I'm looking for more anime that will make me cry!
I've heard that Air is a good one.

I agree, Clannad's the best anime out there.

I highly recommend Fate/Stay Night.  It's in the same vein as Clannad, sad, bittersweet, but romantic, and amazing.
