How many jobs have to be lost, and how many millions spent, for Obama to help create 1 single new job?

Anyone put together the #'s on this? What does 1 new job cost the country?

7.2 million jobs have been lost. But because of the way things are in this ongoing recession, a real recovery may be years ago.

And given how the housing industry collapsed under Bush's watch...?

I'm not surprised that Obama is having a difficult time trying to sort out this mess of is.

I don't know any numbers. I do know that new jobs are created when the economy is booming and things look positive. With all the new taxes, no SS increase for cost of living for the elderly retirees for at least 2 yrs, the Health Care situation, the Global Warming situation and Immigration issues - it will be a very long time before we have a booming economy again.

The government can only throw our dollars 'back to us' as they do not earn a dime as a group. How will this create jobs? I have no idea.

    This can be determined easily.

Just compare to the most recent IBM layoff in the US. They laid off 10,000 US workers, and spent $67 million relocating those offices to India. Then once the offices were up and running in India, they hired the first Indian.

So by the very real precedent set by not only IBM but hundreds of other "American" companies, it costs 10,000 jobs and $67 million to create one single new job.
