is it obvious if one of your cylinders isn't firing?

if it isnt how can you tell.

    It will defiantly be obvious is one cylinder isn't firing.

    If the cyl is not firing you should have a noticeable miss in the engine. newer Model cars send a code where a check engine light comes on, on the dash board. So cars only miss a certain speeds, or only when idling. If you are not a mechanic you may need one.

    First and the ez way with the eng off SLIGHTLY LOOSEN the plug wires from the coils or the destrib

    then start the engine one at a time start to remove the wires slowly

    if you have a bad plug or wire there will be no difference on that Cly

    you should have some back firing as the unspent fuel will pass to the exhaust and explode there...

    also, the engine should sound a little rough.

    yes if you have a good ear start your car and listen to it idle and you can hear the miss

    loss of power, slow acceleration, rough idling.
