LDS & Others Need to find duet for Thanksgiving - any suggestions?
My daughter and I have been asked to sing in our Sacrament over Thanksgiving weekend. I am struggling to find some music. Of course everyone loves "Because I have Been Given Much" but that is too often done. My daughter is a wonderful mezzo soprano and we compliment each other well. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have browsed through Sally DeFord's site but she doesn't have much for Thanksgiving music. Please let me know if you know of something that is not the "same old same old." We would love something new or an arrangement that is challenging. :)
Thank you!

BeBee has some nice selections
there's a medley of 'we thank thee o God for a prophet' & some of the more traditional thanksgiving songs from the hymnbook which is appropriate and easily made into a duet [it's written SATB]
Dave gave me another idea- you can sing 'A Poor Wayfaring man of Grief' to the tune of 'I know that my redeemer lives' - it gives it a bit of a different feel ... it's my favorite way to sing it

A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief.......It is good to be reminded of the Savior and this song shows how we can be thankful for what he did and show our appreciation.
