I was not expecting so many good answers. Actually, I don't know where the saying comes from. As far as I understand, one dog is the embodiment of enlightenment and the other on of material degradation...There could be many different meanings...
I do not know which answer to choose, I'll leave it up to the public.

There are no dogs in my heart. I truly consider that my heart is that of a lion. Winning and losing doesn't matter, its just ignorance to think that one is winner and other loser, its just that each one has his own destiny.
