Canadian Point of View?

What do Canadians think when they see that many of the questions asked here are nothing to do with Canada?

Are you use to the US dominating Canadian Culture or do you find it annoying?

Keep in mind, the population of Canada is only about 10% the size of the US population, so there should be more US related questions.

At the same time, I do admit that many Americans do seem to forget that this site, and the Internet, in general, are worldwide entities.

This is a common board for ALL countries.

But yes the USA does dominate.

I just skip all the other countries and only answer the questions with Canada in the heading.

No I find it that somebody from another country is asking a question and not remembering that yahoo answers is an international site. I have no feelings of US domination in any way. If anything I forget the US is a different country... just sort of a mini Canada.

i find it amusing that you would even ask that question. Do you often make an *** out of U and Me (***-u-me) by making such presumptuous assumptions? Yea of little analytical skills. What happens in American politics has Everything to do with Canada. America has definately more leverage than Canada with even more Canadians paying attention to American policies and what is next on Obama's agenda than we do with our own premier. But it is all because first of all, American commercialism and sensationalism is so damn entertaining and secondly, we have to watch you guys like a hawk because we are smart. We like to criticize where we see fit but also learn from and take what we can get. We would take obama as our own any day. Even Bill Clinton. . . and of course Micheal Moore. . .but we also make sure that some of the mess you face never comes to Canada such as health care for only those who can afford it, the death penalty you have in some states and the over frantic and self righteous fundamental Christians who display vigilantly their semantics on gay marriages and race and actually believe that their voices NEED to be heard. . .You see that is where we are different. . .Instead of looking for glory through the media and making sure all politics are paraded in the spot light, we set our voices flowing pen to paper style and write letters to the government about our anger, uncertainty, our hope. . .We don't take as easily to the much hollywood like news soundbites as in the US. We just need everything written on paper. We don't fight with the sword, we fight with the pen which is much more empowering in some ways. But believe me. . .there is a lot going on on this side of the border. We are just not that crazy about it getting IT "out there". . .
