What do atheists call a godfather?

I wonder whether Richard Dawkins is a godfather?

    An atheist wouldn't agree to be a godfather, as a godfather promises to take care of the child's religious upbringing if the parents die (at least that's the origin of the custom).If someone who is baptised decides later that he/she is an atheist, but still is fond of the godparent, I suppose uncle/aunt would be fine.
