Is a license needed to hunt wild ferril pigs in Texas? How much is it?

    Yes, you need a hunting license to hunt just about anything in Texas including frogs. Now they do sell a license that is designed for hunting varmints that doesn't run as high as something like deer tags or ducks. I can't recall the price of this license but I want to say it's around 20.00-30.00 a year. The next time you're at wal mart stop buy and ask the sporting good section. They say hunting licenses.

    edited: My Game Warden is of a different opinion than the below replies. I would suggest asking your local Game and Fish office.

    negative you are wrong, you do not have to have a hunting license to hunt hog in texas. been doing it for years, with game wardings checking us out, and i've never had a license.
