I live in Salt Lake City, UT - any recommendations as to where I should watch the Leonid Meteor Shower?

So tomorrow night is our opportunity to see the Leonids - several dozen meteors per hour, they say...

Is there someone from Salt Lake or from Utah who can make a recommendation to me? I was thinking that Guardsman Pass would be ideal, but it's been snowing lately and the road officially closed a few weeks ago... I know there have to be a ton of places where I can escape light pollution and get a good view of as much of the sky as possible -- but where do you recommend?

Should I drive west on 80 and find a place to pull off in the salt flats? Should I drive south on 15 and find a place there? Or should I head out past Park City on or near 40 and find a place up at a higher elevation?

Update:

I decided I'm going to drive west on 80 and go into the desert...

I'm asking myself the same question. I'm right in sugarhouse so I am just going to hope that the sky isn't too disgusting and that I can actually see the sky. If i were driving somewhere I'd probably take the 215 to the exit for the canyons and then just park at any of the oversights. Good luck!

I live a couple of hours from Salt Lake and it is a pretty nice place to live. It has a lot to do there, but there a lot of mormons which is good kind of because there doesn't seem to be as much crime. Plus it is only about 30 minutes from Park City, UT and omg it is beautiful and very ritzy
