I'm worried. They say there's a ton of evidence against the terrorists. Wasn't there some evidence on O.J. too?

Yes, and the most disturbing part is that all the admitted terrorists have to claim is "racism" or some other "ism" and they'll get away with mass murder.

I can only hope that the jury isn't full of the kind of soft-hearted wimps that let OJ get away with *just* two murders. That was outrageous enough, and this is a case of the utmost importance to national security.

Depends on which terrorist your talking about. There are quite a few in GITMO with no evidence against them other than being members of the Afghan military when we overthrew the Taliban. I can recall the day they were caught and the video of them, they were uniformed soldiers serving the government of Afghanistan and we captured them mostly in their bases in the initial stages of basic training. That accounts for several hundred of the detainees. We called their military a terrorist organization and declared them all terrorist but by the same logic every Japanese, Italian, German prisoner that we took in World War 2 must have been a terrorist. Whats more, the World War 2 guys were actually in combat.

So if they sat you on a jury to convict some kid who enlisted in his countries military and was caught in training what sentence would you give him? On there other hand there are some hard core militants there also who probably fit every criteria of dyed in the wool terrorist. But unfortunately most of them confessed under torture which will make their confessions worthless in a civilian court. We may have other evidence as well but we went a little torture happy for a few years there and even a lousy defense attorney could get someone off when everything against them was obtained by water-boarding them or electrocuting their testicles.

I think there is a serious chance that quite a few of these guys may be hard to convict.

As for O.J., it was clear back then that the powers that be wanted him to win. It was let him off or watch L.A. burn at the time. He had a lousy prosecutor, a stacked jury, and a highly sympathetic judge. O.J.couldn't have lost if he tried.

Yeah, but OJ didn't kill thousands, although Two were bad enough. I still say we should drop the terrorists in downtown NYC and just let the New Yorkers tear them to shreds. Oh wait, we're pretty much already gonna do that.

    Hooray!

Evidence means nothing as we'll soon learn again.

And O.J. had to be "innocent", didn't all those pre-law students at Moorehouse college rejoice at his acquittal?

Yes, there was and it seemed to make no difference. Maybe the terrorist can get a really dumb judge and jury as well. I hope not.

    Nathan's comment. LOL! Good one.

Yes, but the gloves of most terrorists fit.

They quite literally had everything but a video tape of the OJ murders.
