I'm presuming that you are talking about the driver training school. ALL companies are in the business of providing a service or product to earn MONEY. ALL companies are interested in making MONEY. There is no other reason to be in business unless there in it to earn MONEY. Everything boils down to earning MONEY.
With that in mind, their training program is designed to earn the company MONEY. If they fail in doing that, then they won't be in business for long. You'll have to do your part to make the training productive.
I would call trucking companies and ask them about how they view drivers from Direct LGV training programs. However, I think their numbers of vacant jobs may be a little lower than the 50,000 they are stating along with other numbers. Advertising is a form of propaganda to get you to fall for their sales pitch.

You don't say exactly what your bad experience was so i'll put on my psychic underpants and guess; You went for an assessment, they told you how good a driver you were, how you could pass quickly and cheaply, and, lo and behold, you failed..........
Now you have to spend even more money for new lessons and test.
Am i getting warm?
It's pretty common, they promise, but YOU fail to deliver. The reason they offer cheap training is that they use cheap trainers, but the person who fails is always YOU. Therefore now you've spent some money you are more likely to spend even more with the same company to try again.
I also doubt there are 50,000 vacancies lately, try looking for driving jobs on the Job-centre site, there are a lot less than a year ago.
Even if you do pass, without a load of vacancies that the employers are unable to fill, do you think someone's going to give you 100k's worth of wagon? There are a lot of experienced drivers finding it difficult to get work lately.
