Theists, do you believe in theory of relativity?

Or theory of plate tectonics? Or quantum theory?

By what criteria do you choose which scientific theory to accept and which to reject?

I reject any scientific theory that denies there is a God, and rejects the historic and archaeological evidence of The Bible's claims ~ on the basis that I have encountered Him 33 years ago, and my life has been forever changed by the experience.

Every true follower of Christ since the first century has this in common.

Your point is most likely in relation to another theory ....evolution.

As respects the theory of relativity and the quantum theory, it can be said that the vast majority of scientists are in agreement. There is no controversy, except perhaps from the flat-earth society.

As respects evolution, there is no unity of thought.

Science is divided on that idea.

For every pro statement made an anti statement can be provided.

Once a consensus is attained ....we'll see.

No they are still stuck on the same old misguided theory that they have been on for thousands of years. They have not caught up with the rest of us yet. For some people evolution is a slower process than for others.

You do not "believe" in a scientific theory. You recognize it as a theory and either you support it or not. It is all based on scientific evidence. Something that religious people do not recognize.

I don't want to get technical here, but I don't think the same level of uncertainty that 's applied to QED and relativity can be applied to something as physically observable as tectonic plates.

Yes, yes, and yes. I have no objection to science. While I believe firmly that in the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth, I also accept that the Big Bang, abiogenesis, and evolution may correctly describe aspects of How He did it.
