Drinking water is good for fertility. In general, water is always good for health. Staying hydrated is important for all your organs, including your reproductive ones. Make sure you avoid plastic water bottles as much as possible.

Other good (lesser known) fetility suggestion are:

    1. Nutritional supplements - For her - chasteberry, L-arginine, green tea, and antioxidants (such as vitamin E, B, C, and beta caratine) For him - L-carnitine, zinc, antioxidants (especially vitamin E and B), and maca root. General fertility supplements typically contain these nutrients, but you can also buy them seperately if you want more control. They sell almost all of them individually at Wal-mart. L-carnitine can be hard to find but it has a significant impact on his fetility so I recommend going the extra mile to find it.

    2. Reduce your intake of processed sugars. Insulin plays a huge role in fertility (though know one is entirely sure why). Even if you aren't insulin resistant frequent spikes in your insulin can impact your fertility. Cutting out processed sugars and refined carbohydrates will reduce the spiking insulin, and it is just generally better for your overall health.

    3. Eating organic - Great boost for women, proven boost for male fertility. It is a pain to shop at a special store, eat all your meals at home, and pay ridiculous prices for things you know cost less at other places, but it does help fertility.

Alot of conventional produce contains trace amounts of peticides (even within the produce itself, not just on the surface). Pesticides decrease a normal man's sperm count. There is alot of good information out there about pesticides and fertility. If you can't go completly organic try to switch to organic for the worst offenders.

Conventional meat and dairy products contain hormones that were given to the animal to increase production or size. As fetility is entirely hormonal, taking the artificial homrones meant for the animal is of course bad for the person's fertility.

Pre-packaged products contain perservative (even ones in organic grocery stores so watch out). Perservatives are bad for you. Some people tolerate them well, while other experience health consequences.

It is tempting to dismiss the need to go organic because after all most people get pregnant and most people don't eat organic. However, it is possible that some people just tolerate and process the chemical in the food differently. One study of couples with long term unexplained infertility saw huge success rates after switching to organic for just six months.

    4. Cutting out sodas - goes hand in hand with getting the chemicals out of your body and more water in. But in case someone needed it spelled out, don't drink diet or regular soda's of any sort.

    5. Medications and recreational drugs - the recreational drugs is kind of a "no duh", but many people forget to look at the prescription medications they are taking. Many are either known to cause ferility issues or suspected of it. If you are taking a medication that has not been proven to not affect fertility, then see if there is another option or substitute.

    6. Dental care - go see the dentist, get your regular cleanings and check ups, increase the number of times you brush a day by one. So if you brush twice, pick up the habbit of brushing after lunch. Also floss twice a day morning and night. And get a good strong mouth wash like Listerine, something proven to kill germs and bacteria. Use it twice a day. Oral care impacts soo many thing (and they don't know why - including longer life and memory), and there is evdence to suggest better oral care equals better fertility.

    7. Chiropractic Care - The spine protects the spinal cord and nerves. The nerves are how your brain communicates with your body. Reproduction requires alot of communication. Some of our bodies systems will function without queues from the brain, but the reproductive process is so complex and if the right hormones are not going in the right amount at the right time, then the whole system falls apart.

    8. Smoking - Stop it, stop it now. Him too. You can't do it while your pregnant, he can't do it while you are pregnant, might as well quit now. This is the number one proven thing to decrease fertility. Smoking decreases his count, it messes up your hormones, it is not good for fertility, do what you have to, but stop smoking. Also limit your exposure to second hand smoke and even the smell. If you can smell cigerette smoke, you are getting way to much of it.

I know it is alot, and some habbits are hard to change and some of the impacts on fertility are only minimal or poorly researched, but nothing in this list is bad for you. And in the fight against infertility if it won't harm you, and might help, then it is worth trying.

Sweet potatoes have been shown to increase fertility. Also stay away from preservatives theya re literally one step away from steroids and steroids have been proven to dramatically decrese fertility. Best of luck and Sticky baby dust!

Cheese, yogurt, low-fat milk are high in calcium so eat/drink 2 to 3 servings. 7 servings of fruits/veggies with 2 servings rich in folic acid such as lentils, orange juice, spinach, broccoli. Have 1 serving rich in Vitamin C such as kiwi, oranges, cantaloupe, or papaya. Have 2 servings or more of lean whole grain food like brown rice, oatmeal, and whole wheat bread. Plenty of water. And also Grapefruit juice helps too

Water helps to keep you healthy and also helps with your CM.

And about the lubricants, please be careful about which ones you use if you are TTC. Most of them, can negativly affect your chances.
