Is it possible for implantation to occur 3 days before period starts?

Question

I am a late ovulator, and am curious.  I should have ovulated last Monday (9 days ago).  My period is not due for another three days.  However yesterday (4 days prior to P-Day) I started cramping (mostly in my lower back.  I have been cramping a bit today, as well.  Not bad, just like I may have slept on my back wrong or something...idk.  I took a pregnancy test today.  Not an EPT though, just a cheap 4 dollar Wal Mart brand....Equate, I think???  Anywho, it came back negative.  So, my question is this...
With the cramping lasting yesterday and today, is it possible for implantation to occur 3-4 days prior to the day that your period is due?  Particularly with my ovulation schedual?
If so, when would hormone levels be high enough to detect on a pregnancy test?

Implantation takes place between  6-12 days after ovulation. Your body will then start to create the hormones needed for a positive test this usually takes at least 3 days, so if you ovulated the 9th, implanted the 17th then a positive would not show up until at least the 20th. So test on Friday if your period  has not arrived. Good Luck!!

What I know is implantation occurs 6-12 days after ovulation. If you ovulated on 11/9, then implantation can take place anywhere between 11/15 - 11/21. In my opinion you are testing too early. I tested at 10 dpo (both blood and urine) came back negative, then tested HPT at 11 dpo came back negative, and tested at 12 dpo with Clearblue easy digital (5 days earlier) and got "pregnant" reading. I am still in disbelief, going to the doctor for a blood test tomorrow to confirm. Blessings and hope you are pregnant!

implantation bleeding can happen anywhere from week 3-5 mainly around week 4 which is usually mistaken as a period and a reason most people do not find out they are pregnant until they are 2 months!!

aww yay someone is in the SAME boat as me. I too ovulated on the 9th. My period should be due tomorrow and i've been having cramps since three days ago..im hoping its not my period but then again i can't help but feel discouraged :(

Yes it is possible that, that can be implantation bleeding, but your hcg level still is not high enough to detect that you are pregnant.

I would wait until your missed AF, then test!! Good luck n lot's of baby dust to all of us TTC!!!
