Bowls for the World Cup draw are ****** up?
Perhaps you've already seen the bowls into which the 32 teams going to the World Cup will be divided in order to make the draw on December 4th. The bowls contain the following teams:
Bowl 1
South Africa, Brasil, Italy, Argentina, Spain, England, Germany, France.
Bowl 2
Netherlands, Serbia, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, Greece, Denmark, Slovakia
Bowl 3
Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Argelia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile
Bowl 4
Mexico, United States, North Korea, South Korea, Australia, Honduras, Japan, New Zealand
In case you don't know hot it works, each of the groups for the actual World Cup will be formed by one team from each bowl, which means that teams in Bowl 4 will face the most difficult groups; which also means that my team (Mexico) could be pretty much ****** up if we get something like Spain, Portugal and Ivory Coast in our group, and the same goes for the team of a lot you in this forum (United States).
Now I'm getting to my point. I think it's pretty ****** up that they put our countries in Bowl 4, which is a cheap trick, since our national teams are obviously better that teams such as Japan and South Korea; and even than teams in other bowls: Switzerland, Greece, Argelia, a lot more.
What do you think about it? I think it's unfair that we are just being placed in Bowl 4 because we play in CONCACAF, but we are in good spots at the FIFA ranking and have done decent jobs in last World Cups, which are the two criteria followed to determine the 7 seeds in Bowl 1 (the 8th one is the home team).

You do raise a point I guess. I don't think Mexico deserve to be in the first bowl but they should have been in second, I don't see it making much difference if you were in second though as you still can be drawn to hard teams other than pot 4. Then again, it can play a huge impact too if you get the right or wrong draw. Also, this is football anything can happen. Who expected Greece to win Euro 2004?

First, of all the bowls HAVE NOT been released yet. That is most likely what they WILL look like, but they HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED YET.
Second, this is the way they always do it. Hosts and top seeds go into Pot1, other European teams go into Pot2, and the last 2 Pots are fixed to group together teams by the confederation they qualified out of. Why? Because the groups are now always arranged to keep teams from the same confederation from facing each other in the 1st round other than the European teams, and in their case, only 2 teams can be in the same group. The last 2 pots are always fixed to try get an even split and fit 8 teams in a Pot.
Face it, it's the way these guys do it. The could seed all the teams and still keep their objectives, but they'd rather do it this way. This way teams like USA and Mexico are just about guaranteed to be in a group of death.

actually, the bowls are supposed to avoid big teams to face each others in the beginning of the tournament (and that's the case in ALL sports). It makes the knock out rounds more exciting and these teams are the best ranked in the FIFA ranking. They have more points = they deserve some advantage.
the bowls second objective is to avoid teams of the same continent to play each others early in the tournament. If you put mexico in a bowl, usa in another and honduras in a third, there's a chance that they'll form a group, And that was already their zone qualifying table.
And YES, Mexico is better than most (all?) of the teams in their bowl

I feel like the Netherlands either got a great deal here or they got shafted. They are definitely the best team in bowl 2 and if they go against one of the top teams like spain or brazil they could be out early. However if they get lucky and land south africa or even germany or france who havent been on top form recently they could have a serious shot at the cup considering they are a top class team

It's all furking fixed! Look at the way bloody Platini fiddled it so that France would get an "easy" qualifying tie.

Oh! Great Idea =) Serbia vs Paraguay - On difficult courtroom - Most most likely Serbia two-zero, Djokovic and Jankovic could be simply means an excessive amount of for Delgado and de Los Rios, Serbia has greater than sufficient revel in and skillability to close out Paraguay. Italia vs Latvia - On clay - I'm going to head with an disenchanted right here (although neither are seeded I could nonetheless suppose of it as an disenchanted) and say that Latvia could win. I could think that on clay Gulbis could win (centered off of his exceptional outcome on clay this 12 months) and Schiavone could win for Italy however in doubles I suppose Latvia could pull it off so Latvia two-one million Switzerland vs Taipei - On grass Switzerland two-zero, Roger is undoubtedly going to win his fit, and he will encourage the opposite one (with the annoyingly lengthy title) to win. Uzbekistan vs Germany - On difficult - Germany most likely, either one of their gamers could beat Uzbekistan's pleasant any day (lol even though I have not checked out H2H). Germany two-zero Spain vs Colombia - on grass: Nadal and Sanchez each have video games which lead them to positive on grass (lol having a former Wimbledon champ at the crew definite is helping) so I say Spain over Columbia two-zero Kazakhstan vs Ukraine - On clay - Kazakhstan two-one million, Korolev and Shvedova are each quite well, however I do not suppose Korolev does good on clay so he could lose his singles fit after which he could make it up for gambling good within the doubles. Austria vs Sweden - On difficult - Sweden right here reason Soderling is greater than gifted sufficient to get his win over Melzer, and even though Arvidsson cannot beat Bammer, I have sufficient religion that Soderling and Arvidsson might pull in combination for the doubles and win two-one million Slovenia vs France - carpet - Haha Franche two-zero, no description wanted... USA vs Netherlands - On difficult - USA two-zero, lol Serena and Andy might blank up virtually another institution of gamers. Israel vs Poland - On clay - Hmmmm I'll say Poland in a gripping stumble upon that sees Poland slightly squeeze via in a terrific tight doubles fit. Poland two-one million Argentina vs Slovakia - On difficult - Well Del Potro is quite injured so I'm now not definite if we're counting that proper now or if we're pretending he's healthful for this. Either means I'm going to opt for Slovakia for the disenchanted on the grounds that I suppose that Dulko and Del Potro could lose in doubles. If we're hanging into indisputable fact that Del Potro is injured then Slovakia two-zero, if now not then Slovakia two-one million India vs Czech Republic - On difficult - The Czech Republic could dominate them colossal time even though I used to be being constructive even though Devvarman might obstacle Berdych a little bit. Czech Republic two-zero Australia vs South Africa - On difficult - Another domination fit supposing that Stosur is someplace close an appropriate sort alternatively than the opposite sort we all know she is equipped of in which she often cannot play tennis. Australia two-zero Croatia vs Romania - On clay - Hanescu is beautiful respectable on clay, and Dulgheru is quite well on clay, so I'm going to mention that Romania will scrap this one out with a two-zero win. Belgium vs Great Britain - On difficult - I suppose that Murray could demolish Rochus and Clijsters could take down Baltacha, however Murray has by no means been very well at doubles regardless of his accomplice, so I suppose Belgium could win two-one million Japan vs Russia - grass - Russia with an totally rapid two-zero victory...
