Have you done this for the troops yet?

I remember getting one when I was in Iraq. It brightened my day a little so I sent one a while back.

Let me know if/when you've done this, sent over a care package, etc.

Thanks Sarah, for reminding me!

Update:

Good point Told You So. I wish more people would speak up about that issue, among all the others coming to light. We need people who follow the Constitution, and do their best for our troops.

Update 2:

I can't tell you how much stuff like this means. I went over in December of 07 and even my family didn't send me anything for Christmas. I had to beg my ex... for something, no matter how late, after everyone else in the tent got cards and gifts.

I got handed a letter from a student and some cards people sent over, and I was so incredibly thankful people were supportive and praying for us. It meant the world to me.

Update 3:

http://www.anysoldier.com/ is a great way to send things to the troops. They give you a name and address, and you can send things with "ATTN: Any Soldier" on it, and it will make it to someone or a communal table where people can pick up some mail or pick out something.

I was going to ask this question... Beat me to it! :D

I haven't just yet. I'm actually in the middle of doing it myself. *processing*

    DONE!

Edit: Is there a way to send an actual letter to just any one of them? I mean, I'd like to send a real letter.

I posted one like this last year on this lovely site and was amazed they let it stay.

I sent an e card last year. This year... I want to send the real card, but will have to see if that is possible, after checking this site you have listed and others. Either way, an e card is going too.

EDIT: I chose a Christmas one. For most, Christmas is even harder than other days.

I also posted both links somewhere else.

I have sent several packages, I wish I could do more, or even be there myself but they tell me I am too old.

I think our troops could also benefit by all of us letting Obama know that his stalling on sending more troops is despicable. (and all for political reasons).

The guy he hired is telling him more troops are needed, stat, and he is now the president who is all about long thought out decisions while our troops continue to get picked off.

I did Any Soldier a couple of times. Once I got a thank you letter from a Sgt.

thanks for the link. i had done this before, but had forgot about it. and whoever gave everyone a "thumbs down" on their post evidentally has issues. there's no reason to do that, because we're only trying to comfort our troops. God Bless our troops!
