Diffusion into the bloodstream happens at the alveoli in your lungs.
O2 attaches to hemoglobin which is essentially your blood and carries it throughout your body. O2 can only attach to the hemoglobin at lower temperatures. Thankfully for us our lungs are cooler than the rest of our body. As a result, as the hemoglobin moves through the body, it warms up and the bonds with the O2 are broken and the O2 is released into your cells. FASCINATING
