Hi Michelle: I've been away for awhile. This really is not my area of expertise, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm still around. I hope all is well with you. Best advice I can give you is to get your dog to the vet on Monday. I think it's great that you want to help the dog, but only a vet can truly help your dog out.

Leave ears alone & take dog to vet on Mon. They won't be able to get a clean sample if you put stuff or clean out ears. They will need the sample for diagnosis & to get the dog the proper treatment. You cannot try home remedies when you don't even know specifically what is wrong. Using the wrong things can make ears worse & more painful & a larger vet bill for you. Take to vet & let them show you how to properly clean & care for the ears.

There are NO home remedies. She needs to be seen by a vet. People here are not vets, and even if we were, your dog cannot be diagnosed online.

If it is a yeast infection of the ear you can use monistat. The same stuff a women uses for a yeast infection. If it is mites, clean the ears with a Q-tip and olive oil untill you can get to the vet.

Theres a cure all out there for this type of thing. Pick up a cream called Nu-Stock, they should sell it at any local feed or stock shop. It works wonders for everything including ear mites and other problems.Should cost you around $15-20 depending on where you live.

Call the vet, many times they can provide assistance over the phone before you take the dog in as it can be due to several reasons.

My dog has the exact same problem. A vets drugs are invaluable to helping but to provide relief for about 5-10 days i would advise using creams which are used to deal with skin conditions, I use Sudocrem.

Do you know what's wrong with her ears? Are they just dirty, does she have mites, or are they infected? Remedies will vary depending on what's wrong.
