Why did yahoo change the format of answers?
I clicked on my name and avatar. It USED TO show my history, now it gives a list of times that I got one point for "visiting" or asking a question or got the Best Answer. This is STUPID in my opinion; the old way was so much simpler to look up any questions that I may have asked or answered along with a separate category for Best Answer awards. I cannot find any of that now, and I find that to be very frustrating and annoying! SO...what GENIUS in Yahoo Land thought that it would be a good idea to change something that already works? How do I navigate this newer and dumber format? Hey Yahoos! If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!
2 AnswersYahoo Answers8 years agoA question for Muslims only...what exactly is "Shirk" in Islamic terms?
In American English to shirk means to avoid one's personal duties because of laziness.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHas Christopher Lee ever commented on the "Twilight" garbage?
Somehow I get the idea that the talented British actor who resurrected the Dracula character for the Hammer Films would NOT agree with sparkly vampires that run around in the daylight. Has Mr. Lee ever commented on the "Twilight" series?
5 AnswersMovies8 years agoWhat would Bram Stoker think if he were alive today?
He wrote the original "Dracula" and now Stephanie Meyers' trash novels have gotten so many youth wanting to be these non-existent creatures because they are girls who are hot for Robert Pattinson or socially awkward guys that can't get a date even with the plain girls. Is Bram Stoker turning over in his grave?
7 AnswersMythology & Folklore8 years agoAre you an ex-Jehovah Witness?
Why did you leave it? I am especially interested in the personal stories of converts to that religion who spent time in it but eventually decided to leave it. FYI--I am not a JW so I will not judge you one way or the other.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoDid you leave one religion to join the Unitarian Church?
If so, which faith did you leave and what attracted you to the Unitarian Church?
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWere you a practicing member of the Unitarian Church who eventually left it?
If so, why did you leave?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoCan you please describe your experience to me?
So tonight my wife and I spontaneously decide to go out for dinner because we don't feel like cooking. There's an Italian neighborhood not too far away with plenty of restaurants, one of which I had not been to in many years but I always liked the food. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! While the fare wasn't bad so to speak, it reminded me of something I could have opened out of a can at one of the discount grocery stores. My wife had never been there before, and I myself actually worked there when I was a boy over 35 years ago. There was hardly anybody in there, and while the service was okay the food was just NOTHING like what I had been accustomed to there. SO here's my question. What happened the last time YOU went to any restaurant and were sorely disappointed? What made it so disappointing to you? Please be detailed.
1 AnswerEntertaining9 years agoCould someone please help me solve this problem with my DVDs?
I have a few DVDs of movies (among them one from my wedding day). At some point in the DVD the disc suddenly STICKS and the picture is like I paused it but it won't continue. I am not quite sure what to do about this because none of these discs are cracked or looked to be dirty. Can someone recommend a remedy for this problem?
2 AnswersHome Theater9 years agoDid you attend church, synagogue, temple or mosque regularly at one time and then stop?
Why did you eventually stop going? I welcome people of all faiths to answer this question but I would like detailed answers as to why you stopped going. There will be no judgments here (at least not on MY part) but I am curious.

4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture9 years agoWhat's the name of this song?
The video is of a hot blonde girl singing about what a happy day it is and it's a beautiful day and it's time to get up out of bed. (NOBODY BETTER SAY "FRIDAY" BY Rebecca Black!) Several suitors approach her. One guy gives her a cake but it's obvious that he's bitten into it already. Another guy approaches and he is a complete dork. Finally she meets that guy of her dreams and she continues singing about what a beautiful day it is. There is a lot of bright pink in the video. So, does anybody in Yahoo Land know the title and artist of this song?
2 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoI have a question regarding the folklore of leprechauns, gnomes, pixies, and other "wee folk."?
The little people of folklore, including the ones I mentioned above, plus elves and trolls (NOT the trolls so often found right here in Yahoo Land) seem to be a part of most every culture in the world. Where do such stories originate? Does anybody how literature and folklore created such beings?
5 AnswersMythology & Folklore9 years agoWhat was the last object you lost that you never have been able to find?
Where did you last put it? Any ideas why it may have disappeared? And to all the clowns out there who want to post "MY VIRGINITY" well too late I already posted it.
4 AnswersSociology9 years agoWhy is it whenever somebody here asks us to rate their photos that...?
Flickr and Photobucket have such lengthy and ridiculous web addresses to enter in order to find somebody's picture? I admit that I'm not the most technically savvy guy in Yahoo Land, but come on! Even the techs must find such lengthy addresses annoying. What's the story here?
1 AnswerYahoo Answers9 years agoOkay so we all know that there are no such things as vampires, BUT...?
Come on guys (especially those of us who grew up in the 1970s), weren't you HOT for Vampirella?
2 AnswersMythology & Folklore9 years agoFor those who refuse to join Facebook: Why?
I saw an article on Yahoo about such people today. I myself am among them. I personally avoid it for more than one reason: My privacy is valuable; I don't care if my BFF got an oil change or haircut; and most important, I don't need "Friend Requests" from people that I don't like. I may like Tom and Tony and Barbara, but I DON'T LIKE Rex and Rita and Abner but Abner and Rita might be friends with Tom and Barbara, and I don't need the awkwardness of that scenario, especially if Rex and Rita and Abner aren't aware of my personal disdain for them. So for those of you in Yahoo Land that avoid the social networks--what are YOUR reasons?
6 AnswersFacebook9 years agoWhy is there no comments sections on the Yahoo News stories?
It's bad enough that there's no way to track down our previous comments, NOW there's NO WAY to even leave a comment! What the hell is going on in Yahoo Land!?
3 AnswersOther - Yahoo Products9 years agoCan anyone help me make sense out of the new Yahoo?
First of all my profile is intentionally hidden. Okay so when I make comments on news stories I often receive "Y Updates" in my e-mail inbox to say whether or not I got a "Thumbs UP" or a reply. The old way was easy in that if I wanted to see if anyone commented on my past comments all I had to do was click on my name and then Yahoo would take me to a page where several of my comments and various responses were displayed and all I had to do was click on that to read those comments...NOT ANYMORE! NOTHING gets displayed! What the hell good does THAT DO ME!? I find no way to look over my previous comments so unless I'm missing something Yahoo really dropped the ball here! If I AM missing something, please enlighten me as I admit that I am not the most computer savvy guy out in Yahoo Land. How do I look up my previous comments?
