Hi Michelle: Don't fall for that crap line about stuffing envelopes and "making thousands." It's all a bunch of baloney! I also would advise you to avoid at all costs anything that asks you to invest in with some money upfront. This is all the sign of a scam. Since you probably don't want to end up working as a 1-900 operator, I would suggest you go on-line and see if any local business in your area would be interested in using you as a telemarketer from home. Probably not really what you're looking for, but some places don't mind doing that.
Good Luck and God Bless You, Michelle! I pray that you find something gainful!

Unless you have some highly specialized skill that lends itself to working remotely and can't be done overseas far cheaper you aren't going to have much luck finding online work that pays anything near what you are worth.
kgb.com and chacha.com hire computer based workers, but you'll only make a couple of dollars an hour
If you don't mind phone based customer service work you can try companies like www.alpineaccess.com

Land a decent job with a big IT firm and have them provide you VPN access from home.
Aside from that, most work from home things are worthless at best.
