Has anyone ever heard God's voice before?

Yes. Truely God at work in your father's life. I did have an incident happen with my husband and kids.God spoke to me and it was as if I heard his voice. I followed what I had been told and my husband has gotten involved in church and my life has ever changed because what God had said. It's amazing. It really builds your faith.

Well, I guess that all depends on what YOUR idea of the "real deal" is? Because I think that's going to be different to everyone. And who's to say what is real? Who is the authority on this exactly? I think that I hear God's voice everytime I talk to anyone else, since we are all individuations of the All-That-Is. We all originate from God the source of all life and are all connected to God and each other. But if you're talking about some "booming voice from the sky" a la some Charlton Heston movie and the Ten Commandments, then I suggest you stop watching so many movies and taking Hollywood's version of the image of God so seriously.

Well it would be my feeling that what your father heard was in fact the 'voice of the spirit' speaking, guiding, directing, protecting him. That is the mission of the Holy Spirit. Some hear Him audibly others hear the "still small voice". Few have actually spoken to God face to face or heard HIS voice. Adam walked & talked with God, as did Moses, Abraham, and other Old Testament prophets no doubt.

The term the voice of the spirit, is often used rather generally but I don't believe people are actually speaking or hearing the voice of the Father, but rather the Holy Ghost as it speaks to each person individually, personally and in unique ways.

Well lots of people say that god speaking is just one way of him contacting you, there's many others like signs, animals etc. It could have been god, a similar thing happened somewhere in America where a boy said he was talking to an angel and he told him to sit down, and he did and his mother crashed the car, the area where the boy had been sitting up was complete destroyed meaning he would most likely have been decapitated.

I'm not sure if this holds any significance either but whilst reading this passage, something grabbed my leg and pushed it u, I mean literally up off my bed, the moment I read about hearing a male voice. Scary. D:

I heard it once when I was on LSD. Then another time after I ate some mushrooms I found in the woods. Also heard it once when I was in surgery, and they had me on morphine. Heard it a bunch of time when I saw that movie Bruce Almighty. He sounded kind of like Morgan Freeman, which is weird, because I would have expected God to have more of a James Earl Jones voice. Oh, I also heard it once when I forgot to take my crazy pills.

But no, your dad did not here God. He's just making sh*t up or is possibly crazy. Or both. They're gonna lock his *ss up one day. Just hope its a hospital and not a prison. He wouldn't do to well in prison. Comere God-boy! Eat your daddy's forbidden fruit!

But seriously, people say some weird sh*t when there in shock. He's probably okay, just a little shook up from the near accident. And no, he probably didn't think to hit the side. He probably jerked the wheel out of reflex and it turned out okay. Except for the part where he thought he heard God. But hey, everyone gets delirious sometimes.

Yes I heard him talking to ether his angels or to Jesus or it could have been Jesus ether way I heard him taking to each other and God said I didn't understand and that i was a FIGHTER it happened after my mom told me i had jumped off the bed in jail and landed on my head this was after i got saved and the devil attacked me...I can also remember what it sounded like a Roaring Lion in the sky when i was riding in the cop car to jail I asked one of my christian friends and he said Jesus is the Lion of Judah and that he was mad bc they were hurting me Touch not my anointed his said :) God is so......AWESOME!! He also told me that my dad was with him bc i was really missing him :D

yes i believe god has spoken to me... it was not an audible voice but through my spirit... i was thinking long and hard about my life.. i was making very bad choices and asking for a solution and way to do better, what i heard was "don't waste the time i have given you" i know that this was god telling me this.
