Do green beans and wax beans taste the same or remotely close?

Just curious. I was going to serve them mixed at thanksgiving and I wanted to know if they would have a different taste or not? Will they compliment each other? I think the two colors will stand out.

Wax beans are yellow and green beans are green they look pretty mixed together with a drained can of kidney beans a little red onion equal parts of vinegar& oil, one clove of garlic a teaspoon or 2 of sugar to taste and salt & pepper. Wax beans are very mild.

The two colors will stand out and that's a good idea. I think they taste different. I don't like the wax beans. But some people might think they taste good together. If you like both of them they mixing them shouldn't be a big deal.

They will go very well together and will look great. I LOVE the taste of wax beans. They have a milder taste than green beans, but they are similar enough not to clash. Good choice.

We call them butter beans and they look good beside the green beans.

Buy both of them frozen as they are far superior to the canned beans, in both taste and colour.
