Christmas in darwin. What to do there?

Some people dont like Darwin that time of year.

But i think its a great time to visit, you can sit outside and watch the storms roll in.

Rapid Creek have markets on Thursday nights and Sunday daytime in the Wet.

You could go down to Stokes Hill Wharf for dinner and look over the harbour (It is amazing when a storm is nearby) There is also a wave pool near there to cool off, if your there for lunch.

There is also a water park in Leanyer that you and your Son would enjoy, it has slides and toddler type pools etc.

Also Sky City Casino has fireworks out on the grass on New Years Eve.

You can sweat a lot. Check out the huge mossies and crocs and sweat a lot and check out the thermometer and the humidity levels as they near 100% and watch for cyclones all while you are sweating a lot. Wrong time of the year to visit Darwin try it in the Southern winter. Merry Christmas.

You can enjoy your christmas there on some bars, beaches and markets. More significantly this is the portal to over 70 national parks including the renowned Kakadu, with thousands of Aboriginal rock paintings, and Aarnhem Land.

Go on the jumping crocodile cruise, or the croc farm. Mindil beach markets is good.

Fish feeding at doctors gully, and of course the fishing is sick.
