Is Depo-Provera effective while taking Azithromicin?

I am 24 and very responsible I have a 3 year old and don't need another kid right now! That is why I want to make sure it is effective, or know how long we should avoid intercourse to ensure pregnancy doesn't happen! I have been on the Depo shot for 6 months now and want to make sure it is still effective for preventing pregnancy while taking the antibiotic Azithromicin. I have heard birth control pills are ineffective in preventing pregnancy while taking an antibiotic but I cannot find any information regarding the depo shot's effectiveness while taking an antibiotic! Help I don't want to get pregnant!!!

ANY antibiotics would render ANY form of hormone induced birth control ineffective. I would suggest if you don't want another pregnancy right now, that you use additional methods to prevent it (i.e. condom or abstinence). It's only for a short amount of time anyways...although, with Azithromycin you usually take it for 3 or 5 days then it remains in your system for another 3 or 5 days. Depending on how many days you take it, double that, then you should be fine after that. I applaude you being responsible!

She's on delivery administration, she could be wonderful. this is unwell counseled to apply Plan B alongside a already in consequence sort of b/c. i think of the two one among you over reacted and while you're frightened plenty approximately issues like this use a condom. Pulling out isn't as effectual as you are going to be able to think of this is.
