What would be on your "bucket list" if you could live for a million years?

(For those who don't know, a "bucket list" is a list of things you'd like to accomplish before you die, i.e. before you kick the bucket.)

What things would you like to accomplish in life if you were not limited to the paltry 7-8 decades that we currently are? Stuff you would have little or no hope of achieving in a standard lifetime, but possible with much more time. It could be stuff that would take way more than 80 years to accomplish, or stuff that's not possible to do with our current technology, or just stuff you _could_ do now, but don't have the time or money for (like learning to hang-glide).

Be creative! But it can't break the known laws of physics or otherwise be impossible even given a million years.

I have my own million-year "to do" list, but I'd like to see yours. :-)

I think it's fair to say the warning from some thoughtful people is probably the case, you might not want to live very long, and certainly not past the point where your physical body starts to decay in earnest.

But consider what we have accomplished as a species, with some admittedly decidedly mixed results.

We have gone from itinerant simians wandering the Eurasian/African supercontinent to developing basic civilization - this took the largest part of the last 50,000 years since we were anatomically more or less as we are today. But after that 12000 year mark or so , things start to move fast, probably as a result of written language and within just the last 1000 years we have stretched across the oceans willfully and started to explore the local star-system.

Given another 10,000 years - to say nothing of 100,000 or a million years, I suspect there are some aspects of life 10,000 years from now that might be instantly recognizable, we might/probably still have cities, or centers of activity around either planets or stars.

What happens beyond that however is difficult to say, will we be a corporeal race in another 1000 years , let alone another 10000. I suspect we'll all be able to upload ourselves and make as many copies as are needed, when we near the end of our physical lives, stored in a permanent / semi-permanent simulacra that most of the previous generations conceived of as heaven.

The sky's the limit at that point.

So travel, sending ships full of consciousnesses and biologicals as well to distant star-systems would be amazing to see the results of. As a race, expanding from the Sol system, we could - in 1 million years, cover vast stretches of the galaxy , perhaps doing so through wormhole devices, or vast frame-dragging arrangements. Even without the prospect of exotic transportation methods, the prospect of freeing our species from the bonds of resource scarcity would create an entirely different way of thinking and acting in the universe.

We might actually become quite generative, perhaps instituting a policy of helping other races / uplifting new races, restoring fallen races, etc might be a worthwhile set of activities. Uplifts might be able to occur in the span of hundreds or thousands of years, so it's possible to suggest we could see iterations of development of races that we chose to uplift all the way through to their becoming space-faring themselves.

To come to a grand theory of physics, philosophy and psychology -- in other words, to speak metaphorically, to behold the mind of God while living a perfect day that expressed the totality of the parts in some personal union. To know the unity of truth, goodness and beauty while understanding everything yet not have that understanding be a limitation to my enjoyment of the particular, the practical. An impossible dream to be both God and man at the same time and enjoy both aspects without limitations to either. To love and be the beloved while living in the rapture of moment.

So this is not a query only a assertion? Not to look impolite however they proably believe the equal manner approximately the bible being untrustworthy knowledge considering it does no longer have sure evidence eithier. You assumed it was once 6000 years ancient, nonetheless cannot say for certain that is real proper.
