Can I keep a bag of carrots on the shelf after they were refregerated in the store?
They are NOT baby carrots. They are the regular long unpeeled carrots (green tops removed of corse). I have ALOT of food for thanksgiving and I have little room to store it and I'm putting things on the shelf in the pantry that WONT go bad. However, I'm not sure about Carrots. ....Will they be ok until Friday? (This is when I will be having my Thanksgiving dinner as the rest of my family will be doing theirs on Thursday and it will be way too much to do.)

Refrigerate carrots or store in a cool dark place in perforated bags or containers to allow air circulation. This prevents the formation of terpenoids, which give carrots a bitter taste. Protected from heat and light, carrots retain their nutrients for up to seven months. Their beta-carotene actually increases during the first five months of storage, then remains stable for two months before decreasing.
Throw them in a cooler with a little bag of ice if you dont have the room in the fridge. just dont forget about them lol
