Wedding veil issue ... ?

I bid on a veil that was on eBay like one I had tried on at David's Bridal thinking the dress I had bought was ivory, but no, it is a white - white dress. Needless to say, the veil I am bidding on is ivory, and I /know/ that you cannot wear an ivory veil with a white dress.

Please tell me there is some way to dye this ... I don't know if bleach would be too harsh, and I kind of doubt David's Bridal would let me take a veil, even if it is their product, and exchange it if I bought it off of eBay.

Update:

Also, I have sent 3 messages to the seller, and all they do is send me to the bid retraction page, but I do not qualify with their conditions.

So I guess they do not want to help me out.

I wore a white veil with an ivory dress. No one noticed or care. Really, do not obsess with that because it doesn't matter on the scheme of things.

I promise you, no one will notice.

    Good luck

you'll have to re-sell the veil, or file a complaint with ebay if the seller is not helping you. but david's bridal won't take it back, all sales are final. that's why it's on ebay in the first place! otherwise brides would buy stuff from david's, use it for their wedding and return it the next day and the store wouldn't make any $$$$.

My dress was white and my veil was ivory. Nobody noticed, except me who held the veil up to the dress and was terrified of being mismatched.

Most brides only wear the veil during the ceremony so nobody will notice if they aren't an exact match.

Here are my wedding pictures - I only wore the veil during the ceremony - and NOBODY noticed that my veil & dress weren't the exact same color and you really can't tell from the pictures:

I would purchase the creme veil.

I would place a white lining on the edge of the creme veil (MODERN).

OR I would add a lot of white pearls to the creme veil (TRADITIONAL).

Just accentuate the creme veil with white.

Add a large, white flower (that matches your wedding flower) in your hair under the veil.

It will work. You just have to have a little imagination.

You can always opt to not pay for the item if you win the auction. Or you could pay and resell the item on ebay.

The seller can't undo your bid so there really isn't anything they can do to help you. Contact ebay and explain it to them and see if they can retract the bid.

you still have time! Someone might place a higher bid on the veil and they might win it. But if you do win it ask for a refund and if they will not then just pay for it and then resell it and with the money buy a white one.Ha PROBLEM SOLVED

    goodluck

You can't bleach synthetic fabrics. I think you'll have to buy another veil, unless you decide they aren't too far off and wear this one the color it is. Fabric Dye has to be used with water; you might look into that.
