You tend to only get a sweep after your due date has passed. I'm due on 13th Dec and if I've not had my princess by then my next midwife appt will be Tuesday 15th Dec and it will be in that appt that I'll have a sweep.
With my son, I was 6 days late (boys are supposed to be lazier than girls and not want to come out), waiting for my princess to be born now........my midwife has advised me that it could be any day because of the labour symptoms that I've been having so, I never know and my daughter could be the opposite and be early!
Good luck x x

In the clinic I work in midwives arnt allowed to do a sweep until your 41 weeks pregnant. At 37 weeks the liklihood is a sweep wouldnt work as your cervix wont be ripe enough.

They only do a sweep if you are overdue unless there is a reason they want to induce you early. In my area they only do a sweep after 7 days of being overdue.
