I bought a 10lb ham earlier in the year and is has been frozen solid since then. Can I still use it?

I bought a ham to use last Easter but didn't use it. Instead I've had it in the freezer frozen solid since then and have been slowly defrosting it in the fridge since Monday. It is still sealed in a thick plastic vacuum bag and shows no evidence of freezer burn or any discoloration. This thing was as hard as a rock, deep frozen and never thawed since it was in the freezer.

Will I still be able to use it tomorrow for Thanksgiving dinner?

Definitely! I have a good freezer that doesn't do freeze/thaw cycles, and I find that food is still good a year later. If there are no ice crystals and no freezer burn, it should be as tasty as if you were eating it at Easter.

Yes, but I hope you have started to thaw it, that will take about 2 days.
