i misplaced my converter box remote now what?

Is there universal remotes or do I have to buy a new box?

Update:

None of these helped me but its a magnovox that makes regular tv's work sorry theres no best answer for me to pick at this time

    for what system? box people sell converter remotes.

    I don't think any DTV converter box has a universal remote with them. They only have the remote that controls the box. What are you talking about more than 12 hours of programming, I have a DTV converter box and mine can stay on all night. I don't know of a universal box that can be used with that brand.

    Universal remote, or get a new one from the cable company.

    If it is a recent (last year or so) broadcast or cable DTA,, you need to really look and be sure the remote supports them.

    check the furniture. that is where I found mine the last time I lost it.
