Is it a sin to reuse a vacuum bag?
I've looked everywhere in the Bible and I can't find an answer...
"Sexual fetishism, or erotic fetishism, is the sexual arousal brought on by any object, situation or body part not conventionally viewed as being sexual in nature."
I didn't say I wanted to 'abuse' it. I want to "reuse" it.

It is just as much a sin as it is in this answer to your question.

You can not use the bag again, it will burn out the motor. If the bag gets full, the dust will clog the small holes in the bag and overheat the motor. The bag works like an a/c filter- you can't reuse an a/c filter for the same reasons. Even if the bag isn't completely filled up, if you sucked up stuff like powder or a lot of carpet deoderizer, it will clog up the bag and overheat/burn out the motor. Not to mention it will reduce the suction a lot. And to those who said you can cut it open and reuse it again; if dirt gets out of the bag and into the motor- even once- your vacuum is toast very soon afterwards. But some people will anyways, and then get mad when their vacuum kicks the bucket. Much easier to buy bags than a whole new vacuum. Happy cleaning! And very sweet of you to vacuum your girlfriend's place!!

Read Matthew 9:16-18
16No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.
17Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
18Neither do men but new dirt into old vacuum bags, else the bags break, and the dirt runneth out, and all will say "thou art a sinful housekeeper."

Considering that by doing so you are cutting down on your overall amount of waste, and in turn, your carbon footprint, I'd say that it is a sin NOT to reuse a vacuum bag. Not that I believe in sin...

yeah... forget the pc crap, recycling is bad for the environment. What do you think plastic recycling plants are spewing into the air, sunshine and happy faces? Trees are being grown specifically for paper, throw that fcker out. Oh, almost forgot, the bible is fiction so the question is moot.

LOL!
Nope - if you want to spend the time to empty it out and reuse it, god will appreciate your recycling efforts.
Though you might have an easier time of it if you just get a bagless vacuum.
