The way clothes are worn depends primarily on the climate of the region the people originate from.
Though sarees are worn everywhere in India and neighboring countries, there are variations. The saree is the fabric that is wrapped around the waist and then brough over the shoulder, but an under skirt and a shirt are used too. Fabric has been a historically important industry in India, particularly cotton and silk.
Please be reminded that clothes used tight to the body, mini-skirts and jeans are a very recent change in the way people have dressed all over the world. Your bomber jacket derives from military clothing, jeans from farmers and factory workers, mini skirts from the 60's. Prior to the 1920's, women were required (by law in some cases) to wear skirts: long, drapey, layered amounts of fabric, not the pencil skirts of today, and they all wore a hat (men included). There was no practical use to the corset then like there is no practical use to a man's tie today.
I'm hoping CA still has some freedom left that people can wear whatever they want to a mall and not get criticized over it, but I guess I'm CA dreaming; freedom is long gone. All that is left is the libertine attitude with none of the responsibility.

Well, I expect some indian women still wear saris all the time, so why wouldn't they wear them to the mall? I think saris look very attractive on Indian women.

It's just they're casual clothes. when I went to India, I saw women doing construction work in saris. It's like how you would where jeans at the mall.

Sari is a traditionally worn garment by Indian women. It is known that Hindu Goddess' (viz. Durga Devi, Lakshmi Devi, etc.) used to wear only sarees. So, women have been wearing sarees since that era. However, nowadays it is usually worn by elderly or rural women. Young women in urban areas, especially, don't prefer wearing sarees.

Its humorous which you ask that query. properly, being indian myself and having grown up in usa, i've got seen the two factors. In India, the forex is Rupee, and it doesnt bypass far spending like the american greenback. I hear various thoughts from American's that they are knee deep in debts. Indians have a tendency to maintain each and every penny for the destiny of their toddlers, company and retirement. I remember while i became youthful, my mom did the comparable, yet once you think of approximately it, what proportion circumstances did you place on one outfit until now you outgrew it??? Why spend the money if its in simple terms going to be worn a time or 2. In extreme college, my mothers and fathers ought to have adequate funds the extreme variety names and additionally deliver me to college, and purchase a motor vehicle for me. because of the fact of this Indians shop each and every penny....for his or her toddlers. i'm hoping this answer became useful. permit me understand if yo have any extra effective questions.
