  • Broke up with BF on June 1st. IM LATE FOR MY PERIOD.?

Ladies! Please help! I absolutely love my ex, and we swore to each other we would get married and have kids. However he got terribly addicted to narcs, stopped making time for me, would never show up when he said he would, was unreliable. He wouldn't give the pills up for me and I feel like I lost a lover due to addiction. So I made the very hard call and broke up with him the night of the 1st.

And well, now I'm late on my period. I'm kind of freaking nuts out. Maybe I'm just late? I dunno. I'm rarely late. What are some pregnancy test that could let me know if I'm just late? (Maybe it's the stress from the break-up?)

Kind of freaking out. I had cramps 5 days ago but no menstruation. My whole body is bloated :( My **** aren't SUPER tender but they're swollen.

  • Don't you know Steve jobs funded slave labor?

    http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS433US...

A lot of corporations fund slave labor. I'm sure you love living a life where your luxuries were created by a starving child. Start cleaning the blood off your hands, and start educating yourself on the companies you purchase from

FOOD ESPECIALLY. American food market has created mass famine. Care about starving countries? LOOK AT WHERE YOUR FOOD IS FROM.

Care about little girls being stolen from their house and used as slaves? LOOK AT WHERE YOUR **** IS MADE. This economical globalization does not have the political ideologies behind it that can support a humane system. We're all too busy fighting over who's liberal or conservative-- Political ideologies that fit an really, really really old model of economics.

Wanna stop suffering? It starts with you in the market.

(Btw, I have my degree in international economics, but if you don't believe me you can Google it, go your library and ask a reference librarian about it.. etc etc.. This has been a well documented phenomenon in the academic world)

  • Why do you bless Steve Job's Soul? The man funded SLAVE LABOR?

Steve jobs sent all of his blue prints to a third world to be produce. The companies would go through third party agencies who would take people from their homes, take their passports and force them to work to get it back and to get home. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE SLAVES THANKS TO STEVE JOBS.

So really I don't think his legacy deserves your blessings. Or your money.

  • Why can't you guys do you own economics homework?

Seriously, you're paying someone to teach you economics, and then you complain cuz you don't understand the political system you are living in and you wonder why it's going sour.

    THIS IS THE REASON.

  • Angry Dinner Host. HELP?

My boyfriend and I were just attending a Christmas party of two of his closest friends who recently wed. I have been over there many times. I really like the husband, and him and I get along rather well- However regardless to how polite I am, or how hard I try to be likable, the wife snips at me, puts me down, told me she'd kick me out/light me on fire if I continued fidgeting/playing/slurping! She's very on edge but, you know, gotta respect it.

Tonight was no exception. She's always treated my boyfriend very grabbily- and when I make motions of public affection towards him she scowls. Tonight, we were leaving a little bit on the early side and she started crying when she hugged my boyfriend good-bye.

Not gonna lie, this really weirds me out.

    What do you thinks, Y/A?

  • Boyfriend's family for thanksgiving?

I'm 21 and not going to deal with my family for the holidays (well technically the dis-invited me because they're rich and hold little value on family ties). My boyfriend is 27, and neither of us have seen our families in quite some time. He has his heart wrapped up in me meeting his family. It's intimidating actually. I'm allergic to fructose- which is in everything to certain oils, seasonings, wheat, bread, sauces, not to mention all fruits and veggies- I'd hate to impose my diet on his family! In addition, I'm hardly wanting to deal with my own family, much less his. But yet he's gonna demand the entire family go fructose-free for thanksgiving for my sake all so I can come. In fact, he has his heart so set on it, I honestly feel like he's doing it to see how I, you know, "test-out" with the parents. Which, I think i'm far, far too young to be tested out by parents in that manner.

Also, I'd be really surprised if we were together in 5 years, so...

    I'm frightened.

    I have to go.

    What do i do?

    What do I say?

    Any pointers?

    Halp!

  • Are the people who constantly hating on Obama the same people who voted for Bush?

I mean, come on, I feel a little over-promised, but I'm so happy McCain didn't win.

I mean SERIOUSLY if McCain died we'd have president PALIN. It'd be like a Disney cartoon horror story: "Mediocre Soccer Mom Is Leader of the Free World!"

  • How to nicely tell your mother to not visit you?

My mother is a very emotional person. Being honest and telling her that her over-emotional behavior often disrupts any decent balance, expects me to live like I'm in a Lysol commercial, and to be living with many luxuries (while demanding me to provide those luxuries for her). Going through an economic hardship, my boyfriend lost his job and we had to downsize back to a small apartment, getting whatever job comes our way. (I don't mean to sound whiny, I know everyone has it hard, I'm just thankful there's no children in my situation) Not to mention I've also fallen ill to the point of hospitalization this winter- Still recovering from the physically, financially, and emotionally, and my mother, being the over-emotional love queen she is came to visit and made that situation much harder on me. She'd now like to visit again but, I'm not at a place where her over-emotional perspectives would be appreciated-- how do you tell a well-intentioned mother that you don't want her around, without breaking her heart?

  • Why does Crayola offer peach- AKA "white" skin color, but no "brown" skin colors?

Why not? Does Crayola not want to insight and inspire young people who may not fall in the not-peach skin category? Shouldn't we give children the tools to add diversity in their pictures without resorting to an icky tree color? (and obviously I'm talking about 24 color packs, your 64+ colors packs usually satisfy my concern, I argue that due to our society's biases usually people of this these non-white colors are a larger majority of our impoverished, and therefore are more likely to buy your 24 color box and not spend the extra money)

  • New terminology for "Rave"?

Hello .uk.yahoo.answers! I am an American who will hopefully no longer be in this country for very much longer, and I came across a forum citing the word "Rave" to be out of date. What are raves called now? Or was that individual just confused. (Oh, and I mean rave as in a Dance party with electronic music and not the opposite of "rant")

  • Help! I moved in with a 13 year old :(?

FYI I'm 20, and I just moved into a house with some friends, one of them I have been very good friends with, but she's near impossible to live with. She takes NOTHING at face value and will overreact at the slightest things. For example, I was cleaning the stove with soap and what not when she got back from work. She then says "Ok! I'll do dishes" and so we're both cleaning. I need to use the sink so I need to invade her space to rinse the sponge out, after 5 times of this she gets mad/pissy that i keep coming over and interupting her stream. Then I have to wait suddy and gross for 10 minutes while I wait for her to finish (as I'm avoiding a outbreak). Finally she's messing with the dry dishes so I get in there and start rinsing my gross stuff off, she then yells out "WHATEVER" at me, and then goes into her room where she will stay for however long she wishes claiming that she "doesn't hate me she hates herself". >.> Ugh.

She goes at things quick and angry, she's broken many, many things of mine, and this morning she wanted my external harddrive sitting on the floor away from both of us. I tell her to go get it and she goes at it super fast, unplugs it while it's on, then scampers off without the power cord.

T_T; So I said "Why couldn't you have been more careful" and she starts freaking out and yelling at me, so naturally I start yelling back telling her that, yes it is my stuff but she should have had the were-with-all to first see what she's dealing with before going at it like she knows everything.

She gathers her stuff and goes into her room to sit there again for another how many hours.

I'm sick of this. I'm paying for just about everything, and I never get so much as a thank you, I just get bitched at. Help!!

  • Anniversary of my roomate's mom's passing...?

So, my roomie/my best friend mom passed away almost 2 years ago. The anniversary of the event is coming up, and I'm perparing for a pretty rough day. I've never been too good with helping with people deal with loss and I was hoping for some advice.

When we moved in together we went threw her storage of all of her and her sister's stuff from their mom's old house (to use as furniture for our house) that was packed shortly after her passing . We came across all of her mom's old recipies in a recipe tin; I was thinking that on that day we would make something from that recipe jar. Is this a good idea or not?

  • My boyfriend has no common sense!?

    ZERO. None. He leaves me presents in public bathrooms- they're stolen. He takes the fan out of the window as I fall asleep and DROPS IT ON MY PLANTS :( I mention slightly wanting to play a LAN (video gaming) party, and so he takes out both my computers, their external hard drives, the testy switch for both of them- and brings all of this to my best friend's place. She has a LAPTOP. It takes like 40 mintues to move all of that, and he could have just asked her to come over with her laptop -_-;

How can he gain common sense?
