Why is it important to save work created using a computer at regular intervals?

power failures, computer failures, limited number of undo's, quite a few reasons to not just save in one file but make incremental saves... save one then change something save another copy. You can never have too many backups either.

You will find out one day when your PC crashes and you lose all your private data, familly photos etc.
You can't wish you had backed up after you've lost it all!

because if your computer freezes, or the program crashes you dont lose your project and you wont have to start over.
