how do people wash out of BCT?
I keep hearing people say they wash out of boot camp. How can you do that? I was told once you are in, you are in. Unless you get hurt at BCT or jump the fence. Thanks.

There will always be a percentage who get hurt, aren't physically able, aren't mentally able or decide that they want nothing to do with it once they are there.
It is mutually beneficial for both parties that these recruits be cut loose.

1) go to mental health
2) fail the the fitness test ( although they can restart you from day 1 and start all over again and then they will realize that you wont pass it)
3) Medical- asthma, break a bone, something that wont able you to do the activities required.
4) do something reallllly bad or piss your drill sergeant off enough that they take you to the battalion commander and kick you out.
these are some of the ways..

You can get injured.
You can fail the PFT
You start missing mommy and daddy and refuse to do anything until they kick you out

You don't simply "wash out" and go home. You get recycled and you go back to reception and start all over again. Usually they recycle APFT failures, AWOLs who are caught, and **** bags,
