Can anyone recommend a good music anime?

One that revolves around a band and school life, like BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad and K-ON!

One of my favorites is "Full Moon o Sagashite" and "Gravitaion" but you might not want to watch Gravitation if your a boy (seriously DONT guys, for girls only). These dont really revolve around a school life but it is anime about music.

    Some others are:

-Kin'iro no Chord - 2 seasons (the manga is called La Cora de Oro)

-Lemon Angel project - Have no idea what its about just naming stuff

    -Macross Frontier

    -Nana

-Nodame Cantabile - OVA and a second season

-Princess Tutu - not really music though.....

-Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica - two seasons

-Skip Beat - ONE OF MY PERSONAL FAVORITES!!!!!! ITS REALLY FUNNY but its not the main character that sings, its a secondary character.

    -White Album - two seasons

    Hope I Helped!!

I highly recommend Nodame Cantabile. It's about classical music, but the story and characters are very well done and inviting to viewers who have no interest in classical. It's a comedy and romance. It has really high ratings from AniDB users. I also recommend Macross F (Frontier). It has a lot of insert songs and a very high production budget. I am a fan of some of the songs. It has a complex story that's decent and decent characters. I'm mostly impressed by the visuals and audio which I found made it really enjoyable. Angel Beats has a ton of different insert songs and a high production budget to go with it. It has somewhat ok ratings, but I have only watched the first episode and figured it wasn't for me. I'd imagine you'd either love or hate it. My 2 favorite songs came from anime. Look up: Kalafina - Oblivious Kalafina - Sprinter They're from the Kara no Kyoukai OVA series. I'm not really a fan of the anime though, though the artwork is very nice.

    Nodame Cantabile?

It's more shojo, though. It's also classical music.

I've seen the drama, not the anime, so I'm not supporting the anime version or anything... just a suggestion.
