Can Diablo 2 run on Windows 7?

Question

I'm new to the world of computer games. I have recently bought a new laptop and I want to start playing pc games (I'm an avid xbox 360 player). My friend was telling me about diablo 2. ive heard about it before but never played it. he wants me to buy it so we can play it together. i looked it up and it seems to be an old game. will it run on the new windows 7 system? cause thats what my computer has.

im sure my computer can run this game, i was just wondering will it run on windows 7? cause personally i dont know that much about pc gaming.

It should run ok on windows 7 so far all my PC games work under 7 its got better compatibility than vista had and that wasn't too bad for old games either.

if you do run into issues normally its fixed by running the game in compatibility mode 

however there is a guide on getting to work under vista (windows 7 and vista are very similar)

Yes you can play Diablo II on Windows 7. How do i know? I have it installed on my Windows 7 Desktop and laptop.

About the price, shop around to see if you can find it cheaper. Just make sure it includes Diablo II and Diablo II LOD expansion.
