so my parents have this rule about me dating.. i have to talk to my parents before i can tell a guy yes.. the only problem is, is that they have yet to tll me yes about a guy.. i really want to date my best friend and he wants to talk to my dad and ask for his premission.. im just afraid my dad is going to tell him no.. what do i tell him? or what should i do?

If this guys really likes you he will wait. That's how you can tell if he'll be committed to the relationship. Respecting your parents wishes are also best, put yourself in their shoes, they're just protecting you, being in a relationship with a guy is opening yourself up, not physically but emotionally, and if the guys not worth it he may end up hurting you.

You know your dad might be impressed with this boy's confidence. It takes a lot of guts to go up to a girl's dad whom they care a lot about because there's always that chance they'll get shut down. If he gets shut down, he shouldn't give up. Dads are supposed to be like this, its their job! They want their little girls being with the best of the best. Make sure your boy doesn't take it personally either, even if it were Brad Pitt he'd tell him to go away.

It's kinda sweet that he wants to ask your dad for permission. It sounds like your parents are waiting til u meet a respectful guy. I'm assuming that if he is ur best friend that ur parents know him already. Either way they may be pleased that he wants to ask for their permission 1st!

Im sorry but your parents cant dictate your life.  They cant stop you dating this guy without you hating them.  Remind them of that. Kinda sneaky but it works.  If they still stop you dating then sneak out or something.

have your bf ask if your parents if they say no then you have to respect their decision until your old enough to be on your own parents make your decisions its not your life till your 18 whether we like it or not thats the way it is
