What do you think of Platinum Babies?
I understand that some of those expenses ( the medical ones for the twins episode) are needed, but some of the others are not needed. It is not like the babies will care how much their room cost.

I think I know what you are talking about. These women who decorate their babies rooms for THEM not their babies.
On a similar show I saw a chandelier hanging over a crib once and it scared the **** outta me .
I also saw a room decorated in pale pink and purple pastel. NOTHING else. So matchy matchy. I bet the baby couldnt SEE or enjoy anything lol.
Its definitely odd to me, especially since I dont really spend excess money I have, I SAVE it for when my child goes to school or has other legitimate wants and needs.
Dont get me wrong. I spent a decent amount on some designer bedding (500 bucks big deal) when my daughter was born but it was really nice hypoallergenic fabric.
I think all the frivolous spending is unnecessary. If you have so much money to spend on your babies nursery, then why not take it down a notch and donate some things to babies in need!
After I had my first daughter I totally fell in love with every baby out there and it hurt to know not all of them were being taken care of. So I gave a lot of money and supplies to children in need when I wasnt even really in the financial position to do so.
I know these women are just really excited...but its time to start looking at whats really important.
