crossovers on amps??? how to set them?
i have a kicker zx1000 amp with gain,bass,and x over controls. i have it hooked to a kicker 15in l7 at two ohms. wut are the best settings for the x over?? wut does it do exactly and how do i knw how to set it?

The crossover settings is what frequency the subwoofer will play. Setting that depends on some other factors, like the enclosure. If it is ported then set it no higher than 120Hz, if its sealed you could go to 150Hz.
You turn your amps gain to 80% then you will fry that subwoofer, you will give it distortion!
If this is a brand new subwoofer than keep all the dials down on the amp to break in the voice coils on the subwoofers. (Kicker L7's have the highest blowing rate than any other subwoofer on the market, but if broken in properly than it will be one of the best.)

match ur gain to the output of your deck.. if you dont know then put it @ bout 80% up.. i keep my bass boost @ 0.. matter of pref.. put the low pass x over @ around 100
