I love christmas movies! I'd recommend to watch, Miracle on 34th street (both versions), Elf and the Christmas Carrol with the guy from X-men. I also watched the animated version with Jim Carey on sunday and I must say it was just like the book, and great in 3D! You have lot of watching to do. ;)

    Merry Christmas

    Source(s): Watched them all!

Though I doubt that I'll see the version in theaters at the moment, Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol" is a pretty good one. There have been many versions, but my favorites are:

The 1938 version starring Reginald Owen.

The 1951 version with Alastair Sim.

The 1962 animated version "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol." (Yes, I know)

The 1999 BBC/TNT-TV version with Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: TNG, X-Men, etc)

ps. Marion, that movie is "Arsenic and Old Lace" and stars Cary Grant. It's hysterical!

Either of The Santa Clause movies with Tim Allen in it (1-3)

Three Days is my favorite. It's about a man who loses his wife on Christmas Eve after an argument. She gets hit by a car. Then an angel gives him the chance to relive his last 3 days to prove to his wife that he cherishes her. Only she is to meet her fate again on Christmas Eve. Great movie!

The Christmas Card- A woman writes Christmas cards to the troops in Afganistan i believe. One soldier gets leave and goes to the town the woman is from. They meet and develop feelings for one another but she is dating another man.

I dont remember the title, it's the movie with the 2 old ladies murdering all the men with arsenic and their nephew (?) finds out. It's from the 50s or 60s. Very charming.

There was also a nice Chrismas movie with Tim Allen, the guy from that tool show, I can't remember the name of either show or film.

Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory- the original one with Gene Wilder.

It was shown every Christmas on RTE and just became a Christmas tradition for my family. I have it on DVD and stick it on every year because Christmas ain't Christmas without and Oompah Loompah or 2.

    Happy Christmas!
